NKP caps scouting month with "Come Out and Shine"

Anchoring the theme "Come Out and Shine", the Scouts Investiture and Play Day of the Pre-elementary Department was held successfully last December 3 and 4 at the PSD Gym.
The department led by Mrs. Nida H. Garcia formally welcomed the Kabataan, Imumulat Diwa (KID) Scouts and Twinklers to scouting through the Investiture ceremony where parents and sponsors did the symbolic rites of donning the scarf and the pinning of the GSP insignia.
The event was graced by Mr. Mohammad Saleh of Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, the members of the Board of Trustees and Administration and the Faculty and Staff.
The following day, the gym was enveloped in festive mood for the Play Day exclusively prepared for the NKP pupils. It was also the day which showcased the pupil's talents in field demonstration, mini-food fiesta and some games.
Vice Consul Hon. Jabbar Adiong of the Philippine Embassy joined the BOT chairman Joseph B. Dosado and the administration and staff in this event.
Themed dances that were presented by the pupils depicted culture from different countries, while the mini-food fiesta provided the four teams their much-needed energy for the competitions.
Amidst yells and cheers of the teams, the Play Day was formally opened by Mrs. Minda B. Reyes, Officer-in-charge and High School coordinator.
The awarding ceremony concluded the said event with the following results:

First Runner-up Yellow Tiger
Second Runner-up White Lawin
Third Runner-up Blue Eagle
