PSD@ 19 …A Phenomenal Success
PSD…. Simply the BEST! This has been proven once again as the school celebrated its 19th Foundation Day with the theme "Upholding Service and Excellence" held in Al Rayyan Stadium on September 30.
The celebration has received remarkable feedbacks from the administration, parents, and guests.
The Primary Department has undoubtedly showed its support to the High School Department- the host of this year's foundation day celebration. One of the highlights of this significant occasion is the field demonstration. Students from preschool to high school levels have unmasked their impressive talents.
The primary students performed European dances. The grade one students gave justice to the "grief dance "of Hungary. Wearing lavish costumes, the students glided in brilliant and elegant moves that left the guests in awe. The "Dutch Couple Dance "from Netherlands inspired the grade 2 students to charmingly execute the glamour of this dance. The colorful hats and the dazzling apparel mesmerized the audience. The grade 3 students performed a fast upbeat tempo accompanied by tambourines "Tarantella" a folk dance from Italy. The students enthralled the guests and parents with their vivacious moves. Their striking dresses and fancy costumes had left an affirmative impression from the crowd.
The captivating event wrapped up with the announcement of winners from each department. In the primary level, grade 2 students bagged the 3rd place, 2nd place was given to the grade 1 level and grade 3 level ended as the 1st place in the field demonstration competition.
Parent and guests were fascinated and delighted of PSDians tremendous talents, not only of the students but of the teachers as well. This only proves one thing, PSD has the cutting -edge teachers and well rounded students. The success is surely undeniable.
