PSD Welcomes Students
Posted on Thursday the 05th of July 2012
Philippine School Doha was swarmed with no less than 2000 students last June 17 for the school's opening day. Old and new students were coming to look for their new classrooms and sections. PSD faculty members were seen around the campus to assist the parents and students.
Some parents were present to accompany their children. Faculty members also helped accompanying and assisting students especially the new ones. C.A.T. officers who were in their fatigue uniforms were also seen around the campus, to assist the children and parents from the lower levels.
The students had their orientation for two days which started at 6:45 am to meet their new classmates and homeroom advisers. The advisers discussed the school rules as stated in the student handbook. There were ice breakers and introductions given to make the students feel more accustomed to one another. The new curriculum was also introduced, the K-12 program. Despite of many changes, PSD still made the day a remarkable one. "It was an awesome first day." said Bles Apelena from III- Amethyst. Renovations were also observed. Some rooms and offices were newly painted. The Technical team, headed by Mr. Jun Santos was seen roving around the campus to check the physical condition of school facilities.
The day was spent amiably, orienting the students to become more accustomed to the institution after the long vacation. The day marked the beginning of another fruitful and blessed school year. Truly, the day was an unforgettable one for every PSDian. This day is a first step towards the journey of a successful and blessed year for PSD.
